Junior KG Age ( 3.5 years )
Senior KG Age ( 4.5 years )
AIM
The aim of the kindergarten program is to provide a strong foundation from which students can grow to become an active participant in the learning process. To achieve this aim the following goals should be met :

- » Develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.
- » Be encouraged to continue to see learning as both enjoyable and useful.
- » Demonstrate curiosity and the ability to focus their attention.
- » Acquire social skills and communicative competence which will enable them to relate to the world around them.
Academic Program
The Kindergarten program is designed to help children build on their prior knowledge and experiences to acquire foundational skills and form positive attitude to learning.
Children of Kindergarten program are expected to demonstrate achievement of the overall expectations
for each of six areas of learning. These are: Personal and Social Development and critical thinking skills, Language, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Health and Physical Activity, and The Arts. Different types of learning and teaching approaches will be used in KG program: learning through inquiry, learning in real-life contexts, learning through exploration, language development and literacy, and early numeracy development.
Varieties of different learning centers will be developed within teaching
methodology. They are used to introduce, reinforce and extend new
skills. Example of learning centers are: block building, computer, cookiing,
creative problem solving, exploration, physical activity, quiet time,
sand and water, small-sized manipulative play, special interest , writing
center & listening center.

- 10. Math center to develop recognition and formation numbers, problem solving and critical thinking

Communication
A weekly newsletter will be sent home with each child to inform you of the units and skills that are the current focus. Also, it will outline special days and events and any items the children need to bring from home to school.
Be self directed learners, work well with others, think and solve problems efffectively, recognize and do quality work which reflects creativity, high standaards, and the use of technology.
